Coastweek
- - "Teachers are those who
use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to
cross; then having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse,
encouraging them to create bridges of their own".
Mrs. Rashida Mohamedali
was one such teacher.
I would like to say the
following in the loving memory of my dearest 'o' level (2002W) class
teacher and Geography teacher:
Mrs. Mohamedali was not
only a great teacher but she was a warm and loving person.
Always ready and willing
to assist.
Ever so active; ever so
young at heart; ever so encouraging; ever so experienced and ever so
wonderful and kind.
She made learning a
fun-filled and enjoyable experience for us all.
I remember her once
telling me that-school going years are the best years of one's life
and that I should always make most of the opportunities that come my
way ... looking back I can now see the truth in her words !
She always approached
her students with a balanced formula, as though they were her own
children, i.e. with a balanced formula.
She gave us freedom but
at the same time gave us direction, she disciplined us and yet gave us
her unconditional love.
We have indeed lost a
brilliant teacher, a woman of courage and compassion.
She will be dearly
missed by us all - always.
