Beefy battle against blindness with Tug-of-War on Diani Beach

Beefy battle against blindness with Tug of War on Diani Beach | Coastweek

KWALE -- ''Diani Rules' has fun and saves sight: While most sensible people were enjoying a lie-in over the Madaraka Weekend these valiant people were pulling for charity ... and pulling for all they were worth. People came from far and wide, both local companies, school teachers and supporters from Nairobi and beyond. A fun weekend was had on the beach and all funds went to Kwale Eye Centre to continue their work in preventing and treating blindness on the Kenya South Coast and inland too. Competitions included ‘Planks’ through a slalom course on the beach and the popular tug-of-war. Kwale Eye Centre has been battling unnecessary blindness for over 25 years now and funds are needed to enable the service to reach all those who need it.
