The Alfa Romeo Owners Club is receiving heavy bookings for the
21st Auto Expo which will be held in conjunction with
the CBA Africa Concours d’Elegance on September 30th
at the Nairobi Racecourse.
The event provides the motor trade
with the opportunity to showcase their vehicles during the
classiest event on the motoring calendar.
Only three standard plots remain
vacant and there is growing interest in the large plots which
measure 12 by nine metres.
21 years ago vehicle agents recognized
that the annual Concours d’Elegance had become a major motoring
and social date on the Kenya calendar and invited the organizers
to include a section for motor companies to promote their
products and services.
The Concours organizers responded by
introducing Auto Expo and “the key of the door” event on
September 30th will feature 28 trade stands.
Among the exhibitors with large plots
are DT Dobie, Nissan, Toyota, Car and General and Pipeman
manufacturers who will be showing their range of exhaust systems
Standard plots are favoured by
companies selling spare parts, accessories, tyres and workshop
tools. Exhibitors in this area include Total, Kingsway Tyres and

is arranging for spectators to vote for the best new car on
display using a free SMS system.
A prestigious trophy recognizing the
winning car at Auto Expo will be presented in the agent’s show
room after the event.
