Gift Of Sight| Coastweek


Baby Luvuno, a two year old, who was born blind due to cataract and corneal opacity in both the eyes, underwent cataract surgery with lens implant and corneal transplant at the Lions Eye Hospital, Mombasa by Dr. Gokhale. Seen is Baby Luvuno with her parents and Dr. Vishwanatha N. Gokhale and Dr. Sandhya Gokhale, Consultant Eye Surgeons at the Lions Eye Hospital.
 

48 Cyclists from Britain, Australia and Kenya in Nairobi | Coastweek


Nairobi County women representative Esther Passaris addressing the 48 cyclists from Britain, Australia and Kenya in Nairobi before starting a 3 days 500 Kilometre Kenya Charity bike ride from Nairobi to Mombasa. The event which was sponsored by Travellers beach Hotel, Club and Spa among others was organized by UK based Charity organization, Raha International , that supports education for the needy children in Kenya. The group departed from Nairobi for Mombasa at dawn on Friday August 24th, 2018 to raise the balance of 10,000 sterling pounds of their targeted 100,000 sterling pounds (Ksh 12.5 Million). KAMPALA (Xinhua) -- Sets of twins pose for a group photo during Twins Festival in Kampala, capital of Uganda, Aug. 26, 2018. Twins Day is a festival for biological twins and other multiples like triplets and quads. The celebration which was held here on Sunday was aimed at recognizing talented twins with special skills in singing, dancing and to also donate to the less privileged.
