48 Cyclist to Cover 500 Kms for Charity in Kenya | Coastweek

Nairobi Swaminaryan temple committee member Babu Sanghani (left) gives a word of advice to some of the 48 cyclists from Britain, Australia and Kenya who will be participating in 3 days 500 kilometre Kenya Charity bike ride organized by UK based Charity organization that supports education in Kenya, Raha International. The group depart from Nairobi for Mombasa on Friday dawn August 24th, 2018 to Mombasa to raise the balance of 10,000 sterling pounds of their targeted 100,000 sterling pounds (Ksh 12.5 Million).

Final Tribute to Kofi Annan | Coastweek

Tributes flowed in from around the world after the death announcement of Kofi Annan in the Swiss capital, Bern, due to a short and unspecified illness. His foundation released a statement and remembered the Nobel Peace Prize winner as “radiating genuine kindness, warmth and brilliance in all he did”. Kofi Annan, a charismatic global diplomat and the first black African to become United Nations Secretary General who led the world body through one of its most turbulent periods, died early Saturday age 80. Artist Zuber’s Painting would be displayed at the National Museum of Kenya.


Wazi Group East Africa Free Borehole Donation | Coastweek

Wazi Group East Africa, a dedicated group to transform lives of people through online services has donated a free borehole. Mr. Sumit Dhal, the RSM of London Distillers opened the borehole at Msabaha sub-location along Ganda-Malindi County. The place is around 110Kms from Mombasa and a further 4Kms inside from the Msa-Malindi Road whereby a population of around 5,000 villagers living around will benefit from this project. The villagers thanked the donor Mr. Sumit Dhal and Mr. Vinod Dattani for this wonderful gift of water for life. Avin Galot of London Distillers Donate Mattresses and Bed Sheets | Coastweek

Avin Galot of London Distillers (K) Limited has kindly donated mattresses and 120 pairs of bed sheets and pampers for using in our baby wing and Mr. Summit Dhall and Tivisha Dhall also donated biscuits, sweets, milk and bottles of water to the Child Welfare Society of Kenya Mji wa Salama Children’s Home worth Sh51,000. 72nd Independence Day of India Celebrations in Mombasa | Coastweek

On 15th August 2018 Indian expatriates in Mombasa and the Indian community celebrated the 72nd Independence Day of India at the Assistant High Commission of India, Mombasa office rooftop. The event kicked off with a flag hoisting ceremony followed by a reading of the Indian President’s speech by the Assistant High Commissioner, patriotic song and dance performances by school students which gained plenty of appreciations and applause by the guests and a special Independence Day Cake courtesy of Fayaz Bakery.
