Coastweek -- The Global Round in Barcelona (July
22-27) took place at the Barcelona International Convention
Centre (CCIB) in one of Spain’s most beautiful cities.
Oshwal Academy Mombasa (OAM) scooped a
total of 90 medals (31 Gold medals and 59 Silvers) and 2
trophies following a previous round of competition that
saw the students amassing a total of 8 trophies and 98
medals (58 Gold and 40 Silver) at Brookhouse School,
Nairobi on 11th and 12th April,
2018 hence qualifying for the globals.
Kamran Sheikh took the individual
trophy for being the second best debater out of about
1000 scholars from 57 different countries and his team
consisting of Shamma Doshi and Lakhvir Sohal won a
trophy for being the fifth best debate team in the
