Shariff Nassir would officially open Kenya’s third casino (after
Nairobi and Mombasa) at Diani’s Leisure Lodge Hotel, in the
presence of director Dr. Wilhelm Meister and general manager
S.E.A.L. agency manager with African Mercantile Mombasa welcomed
the new S.E.A.L. resident representative for East Africa Terry
Engh, who was succeeding Capt. Petter F. Bjerkaas. Freight
Forwarders confirmed that appointment of Sylvester Lichina as
their new Coast area personnel manager. German East Africa line
(DOAL) freighter ‘Tangama’ was dis-charging ten new ‘62-class’
locomotives as part of a very lucrative 56 engine contract
ordered by the Kenya Railways Corporation from West Germany’s

Middle East Force Commander Rear Admiral R.W. Chewning was
visiting Mombasa aboard his flagship the frigate ‘U.S.S. Elmer
confirmed that their ‘Enterprise Holidays’ programme would soon
launch a year-round once-a-week charter flight Mombasa-London to
cater to increased demand for Kenya beach/ safari tours.
