Serena Hotel received the First Runners up award under the Small & Medium
Enterprises (SME) category at the Corporate Governance Awards 2018, Uganda.
The award was received at the
Inaugural Corporate Governance Award ceremony organized by the Institute
of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU) that took place at Kampala
The ceremony was presided over by
Right Honourable Rebecca Kadaga, Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda.
The Corporate Governance Award is a
platform to recognize outstanding organizations that are at the vanguard
of corporate governance excellence.
Organizations with outstanding
achievements in governance, risk and compliance fields in Uganda are
recognised and this award plays an important role in encouraging
improvements in the quality of Corporate Governance while reflecting the
changing attitudes and expectations among shareholders, investors and
