Mombasa Women’s Association Donation To Students | Coastweek

Mombasa Women’s Association donated school uniforms with encyclopedia, exercise books and school bags to 25 primary students of different schools in Kikambala area. The students got inspired and promised to work hard. Seen are MWA [from right] Joint Treasurer Mrs. Ila Shah, Hon. Shree Parajia Pattni Samaj Charity Event | Coastweek

A Shree Parajia Pattni Samaj, Mombasa held a charity event on Sunday 4th February 2017 at the Mji Wa Salama, Child welfare society of Kenya. All members donated foodstuff, rations, mattresses, hot lunch, clothes and a goodies bag to each child consisting of a bar of chocolate, biscuits, milk and cake. Trustee of the home Vinubhai Dattani introduced us to the management and the orphans. It was a joyous moment by all members to see smiling faces of the less fortunate members of our society. Seen [from left] are Mahesh Pattni, Raju Pattni, Bharat Pattni, Raju Soni, Vice Chairman Kishor Pattni, Chairman Ajay Pattni and Vinubhai Dattani.

Annual Mtwapa Cup | Coastweek

The popular annual Mtwapa Cup was this year hosted from La Marina Restaurant and won from ‘Baba Karl’ fished by Karsten Kohrs, who is seen [center] with captain Peter Katusya Mutunga holding the Cup and crew member Mohamed Saidi Chiphandulu. They landed a prize winning Felusi and ‘tagged’ a striped Marlin. A spokes person for the organisers said: “We had a very good and successful fishing competition. Lots of fish were caught and we had a good turn out. Twelve boats entered. This year we had three sponsors: Kenfreight Shipping, Ngiri Giri Designs and Abson Motors We are very grateful to sponsors who help us and support our competitions. Without them it would be hard to carry on. We cannot thank them enough for their continuous support.”

Indian Association Sponsored An Operation For Two Orphan | Coastweek

The Indian Association has sponsored the cost of operation at Coast Provincial General Hospital for two orphan siblings who were suffering from chronic tonsillitis. The operation was performed by Dr Mbogho. Their mother, Mrs. Hasina Ismail thanked Dr Mbogho, Mr. Vinod Dattani (Managing Trustee), Mr. Amit Bhudheo (Trustee) for saving her children’s lives and commented that God give the sponsors long life to serve less fortunate. Seen are Hasina Ismail, the two children with Amit Bhudheo and Vinod Dattani.
