Nairobi Gymkhana had a very comfortable win over
Sikh Union Club over the week end at Nairobi Gymkhana when they
beat the visitors by 9 wickets.
The match was
officiated by Isaac Oyieko and Subhash Modi while the Scorers
were Francis Otieno and Gagandeep Singh.

Union won the toss and elected to bat first and managed to score
111 for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs thanks mainly by the
team’s senior player Avtar Singh Kundi who played an
entertaining knock of 38 and was well supported by promising
cricketer Paramveer Singh 27.
2/25, experienced Raj Savla 2/12, Jigar Patel 2/30, Sagar Patel
1/08, and Dominic Wesonga 1/08 bowled well for Nairobi Gymkhana.
In reply Nairobi
Gymkhana scored the required runs - 114 for the loss of one
wicket in 12.4 overs thanks mainly to swashbuckling and
brilliant knock by Abdul Namji(69), Harsh Patel (17 Not Out)
and a quick 15 not out by Kavi Dosaja.
Abdul Namji and
Harsh Patel put an impressive and match winning opening (first
wicket) partnership of 100 runs. Paramveer Singh bowled well to
take one wicket for 26 runs. Nairobi Gymkhana were awarded 4
points for the outright win plus one bonus point(Total 5).

Savla(Sikh Union) kept the wickets very well.
