During his career, Seddiq has progressed in various leadership
roles after joining Lafarge Morocco from Arthur Andersen in
He later served in senior roles in Control, Procurement,
Logistics, Commercial and General Management until 2015, where
he was named to his most recent post.
Seddiq holds a PhD in Mechanics from the Ecole Nationale des
Ponts et Chaussées (ENPC), France.
The new changes come at the time when the Company is on
course to commission in the second half of 2018, the first phase
of its capacity expansion projects in both Kenya and Uganda that
will see the Group’s cement capacity increase by 1.8 million

shared value for all stakeholders
At the same time, the Board also announced the appointment of
Nicolas George as a Board Director of Bamburi Cement Limited and
Managing Director of Hima Cement Ltd, Uganda.
Mr George joined Lafarge in 2007 as China Strategy Manager
and has held various positions in France, China and Singapore
with the last role as Head of Strategy South East Asia and China
based in Singapore.
Mr George will be a member of the Board of Directors.
