Graham Pape Memorial Fishing Trophy | Coastweek

December 2017 saw the Graham Pape memorial fishing trophy fished out of Mtwapa from the La Marina Restaurant, the winner of the day was the team fishing on Bhageera, with Zubair Kurji tagging and releasing a sailfish to claim overall victory. On 11th February the Mtwapa cup fishing competition will start from La Marina, entry forms available from: Tudor water sports club, Captain Andy’s Mombasa, The Moorings and La Marina. Seeing as the fishing is improving as the season gets into its prime time we hope to see plenty of competitors’ and spectators joining us for a fun filled day.


Gilgil Digital Literacy Program | Coastweek

GILGIL (Xinhua) — A pupil uses a tablet at Kolifar Primary School in Gilgil, Nakuru, January 24, 2018. The Kenyan government in May 2017 started distributing laptops and tablets to all public schools under the Digital literacy Program. The devices, laptops for teachers and tablets for pupils are loaded with teaching materials approved by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.

Indian Association Sponsored An Operation For Two Orphan | Coastweek

The Indian Association has sponsored the cost of operation at Coast Provincial General Hospital for two orphan siblings who were suffering from chronic tonsillitis. The operation was performed by Dr Mbogho. Their mother, Mrs. Hasina Ismail thanked Dr Mbogho, Mr. Vinod Dattani (Managing Trustee), Mr. Amit Bhudheo (Trustee) for saving her children’s lives and commented that God give the sponsors long life to serve less fortunate. Seen are Hasina Ismail, the two children with Amit Bhudheo and Vinod Dattani.
