Former Coast champion Naushad Kara won the Mom-basa
Motor Club season ending rally with fastest stage time
of 11min29sec. Piero did stage 1 in 11m40 seconds then
on stage 2 his car lost engine spark. The event was the
final round of the Coast Rally Championship 2017 held at
Mombasa Cement. The event was made up of 3 stages and
Naushad Kara Lota won the rally beating everyone and
posting the fastest stage time too of 11.29.

The Indian Association sponsored cataract
surgery for Master Emmanuel Maendo aged 9 years
under general anesthetic. Master Emmanuel has
cataract in both eyes and lives with his parents in
VOK Kongowea. His father, Peter Morema [second,
left] is a security guard with no financial means to
afford the surgery as he has five dependents in the
house. He thanked Mr. Vinod Dattani for his
continuous support towards paediatric cases and the
Indian Association. The surgery was done at the
Lions medical Centre by Dr Margaret Onyari. The
family thanked the Indian Association, trustee Amit
Budhdeo [second, right] and managing trustee Vinod
Dattani [left] for this gift.
