The Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani and the Ladies Auxilliary
Commitee of the Club had a busy month and performed four
activities to help the underprivileged in our society.
On the 12th of October,
2017 provision was provided to the Kibarani School for the Deaf.
This is a public school and caters for
154 students, both boys and girls and all are boarders.
It is situated within the Kilifi
Due to severe drought, this school was
in urgent need of food.
The following week, our Region
Chairperson Dr. Lata Magon, appealed for another amputee patient
Mr. Martin Simiyu.
He needs a prosthetic left leg.
His treatment will be carried out at
Cure International Centre, Nairobi.
On the 23rd October, the
Club immediately helped an old patient Mr. Kenga Jefwa.
He was bleeding profusely and needed
an immediate catherization operation.
The same morning, Hellen Mwangovye
from Chonyi, a young mother of a blind child was provided with
salon products, so that she could open a small salon and provide
for herself and her blind 2year old son.
