Coast Media FC Receives A Boost With
New Team Jerseys From ASCC

Coastweek --  Newly formed Coast Media football club received a breath of life after a Mombasa based firm African Salihiya Cargo and Clearing (ASCC) donated uniform to the team.

Company’s Director Saeed Sheikh Abdirahman said the support was part of the company’s social responsibilities undertaken by the company.

“Media plays a vital role in the society we are happy to have partnered with Coast media to promote sports. We are happy to see journalists moving out of their newsrooms to train and play football,” said Abdirahman.

“As ASCC Logistics we are committed to see Coast Media FC grew rapidly to start featuring in tournaments in Mombasa,” said Abdirahman.

“Our motto is: Your cargo partner with professional service and personal care and this is what we want to see in Coast Media FC,” added the director.

The sponsor donated full uniform and kitted the technical bench and pledged to continue supporting the team.

Team Chairman Ernest Ndunda while thanking the sponsor said Coast Media FC was formed last month and has since played three friendlies.

Ndunda who was declared the best player of the 2003 Safaricom Inter-Media tournament at Kasarani, Nairobi said the team lost 5-1 to Mombasa’s Mahakama FC before they went ahead to wallop Mombasa County officers team 4-1 and defeated Mombasa MCAs 2-1 last weekend.

“We are focused to see the team play more friendly matches and participate in tournaments.

“Our next friendly match is against Haki Africa team on Saturday at Uwanja wa Mbuzi Stadium,” added Ndunda.

Winnie MIseda speaking on behalf of the team’s supporters said she was impressed with the commitment shown by journalists to come together despite working for different companies.

Team’s captain Eddy Job urged more companies to emulate ASCC Logistics and come forward to support the team.

“A journey of a 1000 miles starts with one step and Coast Media FC has already made the first step through ASCC Logistic’s support,” added Job.
