Memon Sports Club Mombasa etched their
names into the record books after their historic win in the
Liverpool Cup 2017.
Having won this
Annual Traditional Volleyball tournament for three consecutive
years, this fourth win was a show of consistency and dominance
in the local volleyball set-up.
through the group stages with relative ease, setting up an All
Memon Quarter Final against Memons ‘A’.
A hard fought win
pit them against perennial rivals Noor e Islaam. Memons won that
tie in straight two sets.
The final was a well
balanced affair, with the hosts Cutchi Lewa backed by a strong
and vocal crowd. Memons showed early dominance to win the first
set before being pegged back in the next two sets.

overcame the nerves to win the fourth and tie the game before
showing class and composure to win the fifth and final set in
