Coastweek --
Motor companies booked 50 per cent of the spaces in Auto Expo at
the launch function to take the opportunity of promoting their
products and services.
This event will be held by the Alfa
Romeo Owners Club together with the CBA Concours d’Elegance on
September 24th at the Nation Racecourse.
Auto Expo gives the motor trade an
ideal opportunity to show new vehicles and products to the
motorists who will flock the Racecourse for the Concours which
is the classiest event on the Kenya motoring calendar.
There is a choice of standard and
large plots which are laid out along the inside of the
Racecourse.
Among the companies with bookings for
large plots are DT Dobie, General Motors, Marshalls and Toyota.
In addition to cars, pick-ups, SUV’s
and light trucks there are reservations by companies showing
accessories and motorcycle.
Total Kenya Limited was allocated the
first of the standard plots and others have been reserved by
Sports Motorcycles who will be showing KTM bikes and Halifax,
the Royal Enfield agents.
Spectators at the Concours enjoy
dividing their time between watching the judging of the classic
and vintage cars and motorcycles and viewing the latest vehicle
available on the Kenyan market.
Thanks to CBA they also have the
opportunity of free SMS voting for the best new car on display
in Auto Expo.
Lucy Mungai, the Auto Expo Secretary,
commented, “We are pleased with the response from the motor
industry and we expect the remaining plots will be snapped up
before the entry deadline.
“The vacant spaces will be allocated
on first come first served basis.” |
