XINHUA NEWS SERVICE REPORTS FROM THE AFRICAN CONTINENT

Piracy Playing Havoc With East African Shipping

Coastweek -- Once again - piracy’ is ‘rearing’ its ugly - head namely the Indian shipping - vessel ( others ) been ‘hijacked’  - pirates’ ‘demanding’ hefty - ransom.

A ‘scourge’ - ‘pirates’ ( sea- bandits ) endanger/ threaten ‘commercial shipping’ - the sea - bound ships ‘carrying cargo/freight been ‘targeted’ by marauding - pirates.

Somali - pirates are ‘playing’ havoc with East African ‘shipping’ -  on/a long the coast off the Indian Ocean - occasioned/ due to dire ‘economic ‘ conditions prevailing in their country.

Clearly, such ‘subsist’ on looting/ pillaging.

Alas/ else maritime trade was made ‘safe’.

Kenyan - naval - ships should work in ‘cahoots’ with European Union - warships to flush/ rout out ‘pirates i. e. wage/launch a counter - offensive.

Piracy a ‘menace’ - is there no ‘respite’ from this!
