Museveni will on February 26 visit the Dar es Salaam
port in Tanzania to inspect improvements made so as to
encourage businessmen from Uganda to resume using the
port, Tanzanian authorities said on Thursday.
The Dar es
Salaam port is the east African nation’s major port
serving landlocked countries of Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda,
Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Mahiga, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, said Tanzanian
President John Magufuli invited President Museveni to
visit Tanzania when they met in the Ethiopian capital
Addis Ababa during the African Union heads of state and
government summit last month.
