Bandari Youth FC Share The Spoils with Burnley
Amateur in FKF Zone B League Match

Coastweek -- Bandari Youth FC surrendered a 2-0 first half lead to share the spoils with Burnley Amateur in an action packed fifth tier FKF South Coast Regional Zone B league match played at Mvita ground.

Goal merchant Ian Benjamin handed the dockers a lead in the 33rd minute and Salim Ramadhan stretched the lead four minutes later.

Four minutes before half time, Burnley were awarded a penalty following an infringement inside the box and Ali Abdalla stepped up to convert the spectacular spot kick.

Burnley levelled the scores in the 48th minute through Ali Musa.

With the results, Bandari Youth have completed the first leg fixtures at the summit of the 12-team Zone B log with a total of 23 points, level with Mariakani Stars but with a superior goal difference.

This is notwithstanding the aborted match against Addis Ababa played at Mariakani on September 4, which is yet to be decided.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Otieno hit a hat trick as Shanzu United registered their second league win following a morale boosting 3-1 victory over Dragon Youth in the sixth tier FKF Maisha County League (MCL) match played at Fahari Primary ground.

Ahmed Magbel handed hosts Dragon an early lead in the 11th minute.

Otieno threw the spanner in the works to level  the score in the 22nd minute.

The towering striker was the master assassin again in the 31st minute before wrapping the match one minute later.

In their second match played the following day at Harare ground, Shanzu Youth settled to a barren stalemate against Kongowea United.

With the results, Shanzu Youth have moved six places up to 10th position on the 17-team MCL table standing with 9 points from 8 matches.

In another development, Pendua Rangers stormed to the summit of the table after bagging four points.

At Harare ground, Pendua sliced Wembe Stars 3-1 before sharing the spoils with a barren draw against Bungoni United the following day at the same venue.

The win saw Pendua clock 15 points  in 8 games to claim the podium on level with second placed Bakarani Strikers and and further asserting their promotional intent.

At RG Ngala ground, Sparki Youngsters’B’ hammered Nyali Strikers 2-0. Youngster drew the first blood at quarter an hour through Mohammed Ali and sealed victory in the 32nd minute through Joseph Kizito.

At Ziwani Lasco ground, Shanzu Swansea walked past Ziwani Youth ‘B’ with 2-0 win.

Hiribae Bubu shot Swansea into lead in the 11th minute before an own goal by Abdalla Nassir of Ziwani as he misfired the ball into his own net in the 51st minute.
