An outreach camp was carried out at
Malindi HGM Primary School where most residents are poor
They were happy to be screened and
given free medicines.
Two hundred eighty patients were
screened and given medicines free of charge.
Eighteen patients were diagnosed with
cataracts and taken the Lions Medical Centre to be
operated free of charge.
Eighty spectacles were dispensed.
The patients came all the way from
Kilifi, Takaungu, Kijiwetanga, Gede, Shella and Watamu
among many others.
The surgery was carried out by Dr
Sandya and Dr Margaret.
All surgery patients were accommodated
and operated and were returned back to their respective
destinations by donor cost.
