Aga Khan Nursery School, Mombasa K3 Graduation Day

Coastweek -- The Aga Khan Nursery School Mombasa children and staff celebrated a fun and memorable preschool graduation last Friday afternoon, reports ALEX MUTWIRI, SESEA

Friday, 10th June was a bright day which everyone was eagerly waiting for.

It was a breath taking moment full of glamour, joy and achievements.

The ambience and the pin drop silence in the graduation hall said it all.

It was fascinating to see the charming young K3 students take their seats in a dignified manner.

The young boys and girls were dressed in black gowns and looked happy and vibrant with their bright smiles as they walked majestically up the stage with their shoulders held high.

This made the audience flashback to, their own childhood.

The Aga Khan Nursery School has done a great job with the children.

The most exciting moment was when the little graduands got a chance to share their thoughts of what they would like to be when they grew up.

We were amazed to learn that the will be our future doctors, pilots, teachers, rangers, footballers and nurses !

As Ray L. Wilbur, third president of Stanford University once said “The potential possibilities of any child are the most intriguing and stimulating in all creation.”

The staff and head teacher were just as excited as the children.  When asked about the event, Mrs. Mina Gokrani, the Head Teacher said “During their time with us, our students grow and learn so much that it is simply amazing.

“I want the last day of their time with us to be significant.

“My staff and I want everyone to know that the children’s time in preschool was precious and we valued every second of it.

“We want to celebrate the closing of their preschool years and the beginning of new experiences to come.

“Our graduates are moving on to new discoveries and new accomplishments but they take with them the many discoveries and accomplishments we shared together and this is all worth celebrating…”

We know that the best way to predict the future is to create it.

Congratulations to the K3 students of Aga Khan Nursery School - you are the future, which we will come to depend on !
