Successful Eye Camp At Malindi District Hospital | Coastweek

On behalf of generous and kind donor, Mr. Vinod Dattani co-ordinated a successful eye camp at Malindi District Hospital with the Lions Medical Centre. Many patients from Kibao Kiche, Kakuyuni, Ganda, Gede, Mwarakaya, Mapimo and Marereni were screened and glasses dispensed. Twenty eight cataract patients were brought to the Lions Medical Centre, Dr Kanubhai Babla Laser and Eye Hospital, successfully operated by Dr (Mrs) Sandhya Gokhale and Mr George Binns and discharged to their respective destination at donor's cost. Mr Dattani witnessed the surgery and the patients were thankful to Mr Dattani, the coordinator and the sponsor for the greatest gift.

East African German Shepherd Dog League Show | Coastweek

In the recently concluded East African German Shepherd Dog League Show on 28th of June 2014, held at the EAKC show ground, Jamhuri Park, Doeland Kennel's Ch. Geno v. Mattenburcherland won CC and was declared Best in show, while Doeland Bond got RCC, Doeland kennel's Quna V Mattenburcherland was declared best puppy in show, and Doeland Frina won CC in the Long Coat category. The show was presided over by Imran Husain from Pakistan, who is a WUSV judge. Ch. Geno v.
