Coastweek -- Erwan Conan, a Director of CICA Motors Kenya Limited, cut a ribbon to officially open the CICA Motors showroom on Mnazi Moja Road in Mombasa, next to the DT Dobie showroom.

Conan said, “This is a landmark launch by CICA Motors, a member of the CFAO group, of the extensive range of Greatwall pick-ups and SUVs for the Kenyan Coast.”

“The first involvement of CFAO in the Kenyan Motor Trade was the acquisition of DT Dobie (Kenya) Limited in 2000.

“The CICA Motors venture recognizes two brands under its umbrella: Hyundai trucks and Greatwall.”

“Greatwall is a giant vehicle manufacturer selling products in more than one hundred countries. Greatwall pick-ups and Haval SUVs have been tried and tested in Africa and around the world.”

“Since 1998 when the company entered the export market Great Wall Motors has been the export volume leader among the Chinese manufacturers.”

Sarfraz Premji, the General Manager of CICA Motors, added,

“We have established our workshop and spares facilities and we have a team of technicians who have been trained to service and repair the Great Wall Wingle pick-ups and Haval SUVs.

“My colleagues and I are quietly confident that our workshop service is among the best in Kenya and we are happy to have the backing of the DT Dobie branch and dealer network.”

“Already over 30 Great Wall vehicles are on the Kenya roads and the owners are very pleased with their choice.

“Feedback from customers compliments the comfort, handling, performance and road holding of their vehicles.”

Explaining the Great Wall range for Kenya, Sarfraz said,

“Pick-up users will be spoilt for choice by our selection. The Wingle 3 one tonne pick-up has a 2.2 litre petrol engine.”

“A powerful fuel efficient 2.5 litre turbo diesel engine is common to all the Wingle 5 pick-ups.

“There is a choice of single cab two wheel drive and four wheel drive. The double cabs are all four wheel drive and customers can choose from standard and luxury trim. Air conditioning is standard in both our Wingle 3 and Wingle 5 pick-ups.”
